Bella mappa del 1884 in cui oltre alla cinta daziaria dell'epoca si nota la Mole Antonelliana versione 113 m, il vecchio tiro a segno e l'area per l'esposizione Generale al Valentino.

sembrerebbe proprio di si, i lavori di scavo del sottopasso nel 1955; anche il tram 5 reca ancora i cartelli indicatori di quell'epoca.
I cartelli tondi in alto sui fianchi delle vetture (di colori diversi a seconda delle linee; per il 5 era verde) vennero sostituiti a cavallo tra gli anni 50 e 60 dagli indicatori a caratteri mobili (palette Solari), manovrati con l'apposita chiave, posti in basso sui finestrini.

Oggi, su Facebook, 'Torino Piemonte Antiche Immagini' (che cita sovente anche questo 3D) ha pubblicato questa immagine:



con didascalia "Corso Cairoli". Io, sinceramente, non riesco a collocarla ... Qualcuno ha qualche indicazione in merito?

Visto il tram che svolta in fondo a sinistra secondo me si tratta dell'isolato tra via dei Mille e via Cavour (con il tram che svolta in quest'ultima).
La parola agli esperti delle linee tramviarie.

il tram che svolta e' quelle della linea di Borgo Nuovo e Valentino della Belga, che, proveniente dai viali del Valentino, svoltava appunto da corso Cairoli in via Mazzini, l'antica via di Borgo Nuovo , da cui il nome. Si tratterebbe quindi dell'inizio del corso, il primo isolato tra corso Vittorio e via Mazzini.
Via Cavour era percorsa dai tram della linea 2 dell'Atm solo da via San Massimo in poi, non da corso Cairoli che, nella spartizione delle vie, era riservato alla Belga.

Ristorante NUOVO REGIO
"RISTORANTE NUOVO REGIO" (ex Gran Bar Carpano), in Piazza Castello 117, di proprietà della famiglia Sattanino, tavola calda/ristorante con orario continuato dalle 7.00 alle 3.00. Ai miei tempi era l'unico locale in Torino (a parte i più peccaminosi night club) che negli anni '60 rimaneva aperto sino alle 3 del mattino ...
